Hi All,

I own a MacBook Pro Early 2015 running El Capitan and Office PowerPoint 2016, and i'm trying to open a PowerPoint Presentation I got from a friend of mine who works on the PC version of PowerPoint and i get the following warning:
"This presentation contains Embedded Fonts, which are not supported in Mac PowerPoint, if you save this presentation, the Embedded Fonts will be removed."

I've checked the Presentation on my Friend's computer and it is displayed differently.

It's even get worse when i try to add slides to the Presentations, when sent back to my friend, he doesn't see the text with the fonts i've used.

I'll be happy if someone can please shed some light about this problem and provide solutions.

Thanks in advance,
Mickey

I'm surprised that Powerpoint did not offer to substitute another font for the ones that are missing in Office 2016. According to what I've read about Mac Office 2016 on the MS forums, each Office app has its own font folder unlike Office 2011 which uses a common folder. Another reason why I stick with Office 2011. ;)

After spending few days trying to figure it out.. Apparently, Microsoft didn't implement Fonts embedding in Office for Mac (Both for viewing and creating presentations and spreading them) :(
Sending a Powerpoint Presentation from Mac with fonts installed on your Mac and not on the Destination computer won't be displayable and the text will be displayed with default font instead.. and apparently it doesn't work in both Office 2011 and 2016.
After searching for a couple of days, I've found a thread with a link to an app called: Presentation Font Embedder which solves this exact problem on Mac.

I'm so glad that I've found it because it means I can keep using my Office for Mac for creating Powerpoint Presentations

Does it work? Reviews on the app store say no.

I use LibreOffice instead of Powerpoint to view the google slide files. It seems okay so far.

I downloaded it and it DOESN'T work for me. What a waste of money!!

Our advertising company decided to use an embedded front for all our presentations and none of them will work on the Mac Powerpoint !! Arghh....this software does NOTHING to fix this. It looks impressive as it cycles through your entire presentation - but then the end result is exactly the same as when you started......
