Hi,
My boss just bought iWork '09 today, and opened a .ppt file in Keynote (even though he has Powerpoint, it default opened with Keynote). It seemed to be fine, but there are a few problems, like a line of text that is supposes to be bold appears squished in Keynote. Is anyone else having these problems? How can I fix? Thank you!

What do you want to fix? If you open a PowerPoint presentation that had been created using a different version of PowerPoint, then you can expect formatting issues. You have two options:
  1. Edit your presentation on the computer that you will use to make the presentation.
  2. Accept the formatting glitches inherent in transferred presentations.

Keynote might be using the Condensed version of the font as opposed to the Bold version. Regardless, I would always check through presentations on the computer you intend to show them on beforehand whenever you're converting between apps.
