powerpoint xp conversion problem to 2004-tables and figures not showing in conversion

I have one presenter whose slides never seem to convert correctly.

She uses her ms xp powerpoint edition and I'm using MS ppt 2004.

The figures and tables often show as blank on the screen OR the tables font ends up printing in some unreadable scribbles.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Any fixes?
