I searched and didn't see a relevant thread to this topic, so forgive me if I missed it. A lot of you may not really care about this, either, but I thought it newsworthy nonetheless.
"Think Secret has learned that major layoffs have been announced at PowerSchool, the Apple-owned developer of student information systems for school districts. Additionally, a number of key managers have departed, including company founder Greg Porter."
My school district (San Diego Unified, 8th largest in USA) looked at PowerSchool and a few other Student Information Systems before coming to our decision. PowerSchool just didn't have what it took for our needs, although I understand other huge districts went with it, including Chicago.
