PowerSupport customer service said oversized cutouts are Apple's design requirements

I emailed PowerSupport after reading their Facebook post on the cutout and size issue for the iPhone 6 Plus screen protector sold at the Apple stores.

Hi,

I've purchased the iPhone 6 Plus antiglare film from the Apple Store and wonder is the cutout suppose to be twice the size? The pictures from your website and Facebook looks different and I know the screen protector can't go to the edge of the screen but "circle, w shape, the long bar and home button" are huge. I googled the subject and started reading on macrumors.com, 9to5mac.com, etc about the problem with the fit. Some say it fits just right while many are having extremely large cutouts why didn't match the iPhone placements.

Is there another version of the screen or did I get a bad cutout? I wanted to post the image of the screen on your Facebook page to show you. Do I need to return this to the Apple Store and check their stock on the wall for one with the correct cutout size and set the ones with the wrong size to be returned by the store since it might be defective? I keep read a new preorder version with better cutouts will be released to fix the error?

Wayne,
The curvature of the screen has made it difficult on all manufactures to make a film that fits perfectly.
We are aware that the films available now in Apple stores don't cover the entire portion of the black screen and we are already working on a new, adequately sized film, but we do expect the films we ship directly to have a much tighter fit.
The films offered on our website will be slightly wider and have a tighter cutout for the home button as well as two cutouts for the sensors rather than one. These differences are because of Apple's stringent design requirements for products sold in their stores.
We're happy to replace the film for you if you're not satisfied. If you could please provide a copy of your receipt and your full name and shipping address, we’ll get one out to you as soon as possible.

So if I want a better cutout for my screen I need to pre-order it from your store instead of the Apple Store because Apple's stringent requirements to makes them larger?

Is there a estimated time the product will ship on your website? I have to let the message boards know if they want a better fit to return it to the Apple Store before the 14 day window and not to contact Apple for requiring the cutouts to be oversized.

Have to post this on your Facebook page too.

I was told the same, I didn't understand how "Apple's stringent design requirements" would lead to a product with horrid cutouts - stringent design requirements should mean that the cutouts are excellent.

I didn't push it, since they offered me a free set of the improved ones when ready, but I agree - it makes no sense.
