A 1.25GHz G4 will ALWAYS run hotter than a 1GHz G4 when made on the same manufacturing process. Currently, Moto is not publicly selling 1.25GHz G4s, but there is absolutely no reason to believe they aren't selling them to companies like Apple. Also, if Moto DID release a 1.25GHz 7455 publicly, then guess what: It would be an overclocked 1GHz G4. All CPU speed bumps within a chip model are "overclocking". Since the base speed of the 7455 is 667MHz, everything above that is "overclocked" to run at higher speeds. The reason why it's not called overclocking is because the manufacturer does it. Overclocking is when a user takes a CPU rated at one clock frequency and tries to run it at a higher one. Bumping the speed is when a manufacturer does it. The difference is that manufacturers can test it to make sure it runs properly at that speed.
