What to do with a Java based PPC application that was originally designed for Mac OS X 10.3.x which always crashes on Rosetta (10.6.8) after specific tasks? (There's no Intel version available)

There's no crash report. It closes itself after doing specific tasks, but it starts up normally.
 
Again, what application do you talk about? Do you have the latest Java version? Is there a Windows version of that application, which you could run via VM?

Yes.

It uses 3D rendering. I don't think a VM would be powerful enough. And I would like not to use Windows.

Maybe there's another PPC emulator?

Yes, but they fixed it, right?! I installed Snow Leopard (including all updates) yesterday on my external drive.

I'll check it later. I'm not on my MacBook right now.
