In other words, I need to get working Open Firmware commands so that I can install Sorbet Leopard on my PPC G4 QuickSilver 733MHz .
I think that Sorbet Leonard can be installed on this Mac at least somewhere there was something about it being installed on a G4 (Power Book) .

I made the installation USB stick first with Disk Utility on macOS Ventura; Partition table I chose was Apple Partition Map and as the file system macOS Extended (Journaled) .

Unsuccessful installation here. Next I created the USB - Disk in Windows 11 using TransMac. Still no luck.

I can get the USB stick recognized in Open Firmware and I've tried different commands / parameters, but I haven't gotten beyond Open Firmware.

There will be e.g. notifications Can't Open Dir Device and / or Load Size Too Small.

Could someone say something to this, ... something?

Hi I i found a way with a helpful video about Linux and it’s worked for me! For sorbet leopard I mean,

7:45 in the YouTube video he starts talking about it :)

I mean you need to understand the fundamentals of OF and how the device tree is laid out.

Once you understand that you can always provide the absolute path to BootX from OF.

Some USB disks may not be readable by OF, browse the device tree and see if your disk is a child of one of the usb nodes.

If it is, see if the file system is readable.
