ppi increase with WW screen tech

I know I may be in the minority here but I believe Apple will introduce a new phone with the 16:9 ratio but at a staggering resolution and a much higher ppi. My reasoning is simple by going to 16:9 they are going into native display configuration and why do that if your not going to increase the pixel density. Also I'm looking at Apple in the past year every flagship device they make save for the iPhone has gone retina at insanely high resolution, Now I know we already have great ppi density and terrific resolution but when was the last time the new tech offered less than the old as far as screen resolution goes.

If the rumors hold true, the new iPhone will have the exact same ppi as the 4 / 4S do now.
