Long Story.... After 6 months of "dead not dead" I've finally got my Pismo more or less working. Before it would ( or wouldn't boot) Black screen + whirring sound.Or would boot then freeze after about 5 minutes. I tried replacing or moving RAM about and it would work for a couple of days then freezé. Recently on this site I read that un-pluging the RAM battery could work.... and lowe and behold It booted and stays up and running.
Ok... i could just say "it's working.... leave it alone"
But No! I start checking articles on RAM and find that IF you dont have a RAM battery and your main battery is dead it wont Boot just on the AC adapter.
Well it did.???? For the moment I've left the AC adapter plugged in.
and am thinking of re-plugging the RAM battery in. Do you think that re plugging the Ram battery in will re start the Crashing Freezing problems. I'm scared to try, in case I crash the whole thing Again.Or should I just leave it ALONE. Just putting it to sleep and never turning it Off. Obviously I could buy a new main battery and a new PRAM battery... but that would almost take me to the price of a 2nd hand Pismo
Bit long all that, but thanks for any feedback
