Right when the computer turns on, as fast as humanly possible, I am holding down: command-option-p-r and it just keeps on booting... I'm running latest generation Macbook Pro.

Someone help. Thanks!

(Also, is holding down "d" the hardware diagnostic key as long as you have your restore cd in?)

Is your volume muted? Do you have any speakers or headphones plugged in?

Yep. :)

Figured it out !

I have the firmware password set to "on" so if you have that on holding down ANY keys (except for option to go to Bootcamp/Windows) WILL NOT WORK!

I turned it off and then it worked fine.

firmware password?

Where do you go, what menu, to turn the firmware password off ?? I think I'm having the same problem.
