so my friends are arses. they got me to call ######### which i found out is like a gay hotline in colorado by convincing me it was one of their new cell numbers.

my question is as a result of calling this, (call lasted 6 sec), will my phone bill get charged alot of money or something.

thanks for the help

im not gay just so you all know
Not sure that was necessary, but... thanks...

And yes, I assume you will be charged. Connection time is how they make their money after all.

sorry

they dont go off credit cards or something?
I believe it's charged directly to your line. I'm not too familiar with the specifics, maybe someone can correct me if i'm wrong.

Sort of funny in an immature way, but OK. You will be charged only for a minute. Those rates go anywhere to .99¢ per minute. So just show your buddies the phone bill and make 'em pay.

Maybe you should call and tell them you're not gay? :p

Seriously, you can also call your phone service and tell them what happened and complained. If you acted in good faith and didn't know you were dialing such a thing, they'll sometimes waive the fee... although I don't know about these sorts of numbers.

They might be more understanding if it wasn't obvious. Like if your friend told you their cell phone number had an area code associated with toll numbers, then obviously, why would you believe that would be true, right?

good point. the number has a denver area code and alot of my frineds live in denver so i bought it lol.

anyways my friend said hed pay me back if i did get charged like 50 bucks or something. better well be too haha
