I am a Life time PC user ready to make the switch, but I will still need windows for a few apps :( Should I buy one of the systems at Macmall with XP pre-installed or is the process simple enough to do it myself. If so, can you point me to a good site with step-by-step instructions?

Also, what software should i use vmware, parrallels or boot camp? How much RAM will i need for these to run smoothly. no gaming or editing. just downloading torrents and stuff. Any advice would be much appreciated. TIA

What applications do you need to run as downloading torrents is more than possible on OS X with applications like Azureus et al.

It is very easy to install windows either in bootcamp or in parallels/vmware. From the sounds of it you won't need to use bootcamp.

I would say bootcamp, it's the fastest way to run Windows. I can't speak to VMware but, for me anyway, Parallels was painfully slow.
