Pre-order But Still Go Hunting...

Yes, another thread about pre-orders etc.

I was simply wondering that if I pre-order the iPhone 6 but still get out there on release day early to try and buy one from my local Apple Store and I get my hands on one, could I then cancel the pre-order before they charge me?

Would the money come out of my account straight away?

Some people tried this, the past few years and found that their subsidy didn't reset quick enough for them, i.e., took in excess of 24 hours.

I think it worked for some, but for many others it didn't.

OK and as we're allowed to pre-order again this year, surely more people will be waiting at home and that means less people waiting in queues?

I'll take my chances and queue up I think.
