Pre-order cancellation: SUCCESS! Picked my 4s up this morning.

So after all of hubabloob, I WAS able to cancel my pre-order (shipping on 28th) and purchase a 4s at my local Verizon shop this morning. Got there at 6:30 (8:00 opening) and was 4th in line.

What city is this? Did the line get much bigger by opening? Glad it worked out.

Annapolis, MD. Line was about 100 or so people. Rep told me the store had a few hundred phones, but a limited supply of the 16gb.

At first the store manager came out and told everyone that they would not be able to, nor would they even try to cancel our existing pre-orders so a few of us flipped out and did it ourselves. He was 100% positive that it wasn't going to work - had been telling his staff that for weeks even though VZW customer care was saying otherwise.

Well, as usual the store was wrong, customer care was right. Customer care canceled it for me with no problem at all and I upgraded without any issues.
