All iPads Pre-Order From Apple? When Were You Charged?

I pre-ordered my LTE iPad 4 at 3am the morning that ordering was opened up (10/26). I noticed that the money was no longer available on my card. Then a few days ago I noticed that it's available again. Maybe they just did an authorization and will charge when it ships? This is my first time ordering an Apple product from them online so I'm not sure how they do it.

They charged me an hour after I placed my order last Friday around 12:00PM
