Pre-Order iPad 3 From Target

1) My first question is if anyone was able to pre-order iPads from Target in the past?


2) If I use my Red Card will I get the 5% off a new product (ie. iPad 3)???

I don't know about preorders, but I did pick mine up on the first day with about a 10 minute wait at Target. Counting Christmas I have bought 3 of them at Target with my Red Card and saved 5% in each case.

I doubt it since Target likely doesn't know how many iPads they will receive, nor when they will receive them... and last I checked the iPad 3 is not even a confirmed product at this time.

Regardless, don't you think calling your local target store is a lot easier and more definitive than asking a bunch of people on a forum?

Same here. I used the Find One app to find my iPad 2 at my local Target

Last year Target did not do pre-orders (nobody did ipad2 preorders AFAIK), and they didn't even sell them online until a long time after launch. In-store only, and I don't remember them doing a reservation system like BestBuy. Not all stores received stock either.

Yes, Target Redcard gives 5% off ipad purchases; I bought mine this way last year a couple weeks after launch so I'm speaking from personal experience. That could always change of course, but I'd be surprised if it did.

Target has never had preorders on electronics before... Apple, PS3, XBOX, etc. It's always been first come, first served.

I believe the RedCard gets you 5% off anything you buy except GCs & booze.
