Pre-order iPhone 6 and select for later pick-up

Hi all, sorry to bother you, I just have a question, to which I cannot find answer anywhere. I want to pre-order iPhone 6 plus, but I need to pick it up on 28th September, until that day I will not be available. Will they hold my order and the phone in the apple store? Or should I risk that there will be phones available on that day? Thanks for any response.

i'm sure they have a pick up window time frame,unless i am wrong,if not just have someone pick it up for you,you could allow someone to pick it up if you wanted.

Thanks, I believe that the window time will be there, but I can not find any information about that. Unfortunately there is no way, somebody will pick it for me. I am not from US and I will be only visiting Los Angeles. :/

ah i see.call apple and confirm not sure if they have a 48 hour window or how ever it works.
