Pre-Order Night

What is everyone's game plan that is planning to get a new Watch AND a new iPhone?

I want a 44MM and also an XS Max but concerned if i try to go through the process of ordering both at the same time, it may push back my delivery timeframe and delay one or the other.

I have never ordered both on pre-order night so looking for any insights of ordering the phone first and then the watch right after in a separate transaction?

Cant wait for the 44mm size.

I’m finally upgrading my S0 to a gold S4. I’m also in the iPhone Upgrade Program and going to an Xs Max.

I’m preapproved for the Max and doing it first as a stand-alone separate order.

In the past I’ve seen people’s phones delayed because they also ordered an accessory like a case, so I always preorder the phone solo.

I’ll order the watch right after the preorder for the Max completes.

My current plan is to order the phone from my phone and the watch from my iPad.

I’ll also have the iMac and MacBook, just in case the store app pukes.

The phone is more important to me. I’ll be ordering them separately, though.

If you can get both on the same order, Apple would ship one if the other was delayed.

I assume the phone will sell out first so I'm going to get that order done and submitted and then go for the watch model I want.

My question though was more around ordering at the same time on pre-order night as I assume going through all the extra clicks will slow me down and one will be pushed back.

I think you can add your configurations to your cart now though no and then just check out pre-order night?

I will order the phone first, and the watch second. I can live with a shipping delay more for the watch.

I would do two separate orders. Order what you want to most first .

I am lucky and just ordering a new watch.

Yea I think that will be the plan.

I dont feel the 44mm aluminum will be in super high demand and shouldn't have much of a problem grabbing one by release day so the XS Max will be placed first.

Agreed on that as that night is rather hectic and I assume with multiple phone offerings this year it will be one of the more busy pre-order nights in recent memory.

But only one phone is tonight, the other is in a month, which could help. But will still be crazy.

This is a good point and didnt recognize the XR is not tonight. Thanks for that info.

Also, my time zones and days of the week were all mixed up and pre-order is tonight?!!? oh man, its going to be a rough day in the office tomorrow.

I did save the exact model watch I want as a "Favorite" (click the heart in the Apple Store), so when I've completed my phone preorder, then hopefully it's just a quick, "click the favorite", buy outright.

Fingers crossed they both deliver on the same day. While I can work from home, I don't want to push it with multiple days / multiple deliveries. Going for in-store pickup for both first (tons of Apple Stores in PHX), but sometimes that runs out and you can still get launch day delivery.
