Pre-Order or Wait for Stock

ATT finally cleared an error on my acct allowing me to now pre-order.. only took them a month!

Anyway, looking for a 256gb MB 7+... what's the quickest way to get it? Order on apple.com or wait for stores to be stocked?

If I order for pick-up, am I guaranteed to get it before general stock arrives?

Its all a crap shoot, you may find a given store has the stock, where as ordering online will cause you to wait, and vice versa, its entirely possible to order online and get fast from the carrier, where as apple will not
