Hey everyone,

I have a question regarding pre-ordering the iPhone 17PM. Are the pre-ordered versions, i.e. the phones from the first batch, produced way earlier, like in July/August.

I have never pre-ordered a phone since I always switched after a few months after release date.

It's up to you. You are the only one that can answer this question honestly. There is no real benefit or difference between getting the phone launch day or getting it a few months later. The only "benefit" of getting the phone launch day is just to say you have the newest iPhone day one which isn't all that great to brag about.

Sorry. Perhaps I didn't express myself clearly. My question is if the first released phones are produced a longer time ago, like in July or August.

Yes, the iPhone are produced and a few months before launch in September. For example, my launch day 15 Pro Max says the battery was manufactured in August 2023 which is like a month before the phone launched.

Thank you very much! 😊

I get into the hype so I always get mine on launch day - doesn't matter when it was made.

Except last year when my UPS package went missing at my local distribution hub and had to call the cops to "find" it a week later.
