Pre-order questions

Ok, I'm breaking my own rule by not spending more time researching...but I completely forgot tonight was pre-order night (or should I say morning?)

Anyway, this year I need to do 2 things:
1) Leave AT&T and transfer my number to Verizon
2) Upgrade my gf's phone on Verizon to the iPhone

Can I do both of these things in a single pre-order transaction tonight? I believe the limit was raised a few years ago...right? What will I need from my gf to do her upgrade.

Once she's upgraded I'm moving her over to my account as a family plan. Then I'll propose. (Am I doing that backward?)

Ummmm, yes. They are two different transactions.

What are the chances that either the carrier or Apple's systems will screw up those two different things you are trying to do in a dingle transaction online?

High.

Then when your upgrade eligibility is locked after a failed transaction, you'll have to wait days for that to get cleared up.

It's unnecessary risk. Not sure what the gain is trying to get both things at once. Keeping it simple decreases the chances of a SNAFU.
