If you can pre order on 9/14 I would have to think it will ship sometime soon after. Anyone heard any idea on a ship date if you pre order.

Ya, we bought my daughter a 32GB ipod touch for her birthday yesterday but we are going to return it and pre order the new one online and hope for the best as far as when its shipped.

I have been curious as to when the iPod Touch will ship, too. But it's probably a logistics issue. If demand for the iPhone 5 is high, and who knows, they're going to put all the hardware, available resources, and shipping demands for the iPhone first. The iPod Touch will always be a lower priority.
