Does anyone know what time the pre-order begins? I hope we can do new activations By phone tomorrow and have the phone arrive on April 12? Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

Why not just head to a T-Mobile store next Friday, very unlikely there will be lines for the iPhone 5, not exactly a launch day for them.

I live on upper east side of manhattan... I think the local store near me will be very crowded.

i'm on a classic plan.
i wonder if i can buy the phone at full price at $580...
any tmobile employees that know?

A true iPhone fan would be sitting at their computer screen at 11:59, CC in hand, waiting at apple.com, constantly hitting F5/cmd+R until it's up. :p

Is there any other way!! Lol... That's how I ordered my 4, 4s, and 5..... Can't seem to get any answers.

Yep returning my unlocked to apple, them buying 2 from tmobile.

i spoke with online chat.

that $579 is for simple choice lines.

i have a legacy plan and asked and they said value for those plans haven't been released yet.

i hope i'm wrong any they sell that phone for $579 for any tmobile customer...
that would be the tits.

***btw, how do we know if we have the updated gsm phone??? i mean, is there a chance that when you go in on the 15th of april to purchase at apple store, that they will sell you the older one???***

if they do, just return it within 30 days.

Doesn't seem you can order without simple choice

Yeah, In order to buy an iPhone from TMO, you have to upgrade to their new simple plans. I'm bummed because I'm on a value plan that is actually cheaper than than what I will be paying on their plans.

My question is... can you buy the iPhone fully unlocked at $579 WITHOUT upgrading and/or updating your current Tmobile plan? In other words, can you walk in/out with an unlocked iPhone fully paid for without changing anything else?

No you can't. Without changing your plan it's $650.

might as well get it from the apple store then.

***edit****
i'm going through my-tmobile account and it does let me order the phone for $579, but it gets rid of my android preferred data and adds on 4gb for $30 BS!!!

for you guys who are okay with that, just click on the "want a new phone" "shop now" button next to "your phone" from the main my-tmobile page....
i'm going to pass on this... i'm not going to get rid of my $20 unlimited preferred android data plan.

so...it looks like if i want to get the $30/mo 100 minute plan i can't pre-order the phone through T-Mobile?

Will the Apple Store offer pre-ordering or do you think walking in and getting one at the store next Friday will work?

Ya I am having my doubts that they will let anyone buy that iPhone that cheap, Carriers dont make much money on prepaid plans so I highly doubt they will be giving all users the right to walk in and pay off the iPhone for $580 while rest of the nation sells it for $649. I would love to see it but again have a really good feeling that it wont happen as it doesnt quiet make sense....saving people $70 + giving them a True Penta-Band world phone?

Just checked their site out seems like they are not letting you buy without the $50 plan, so total cost for anyone looking to go prepaid? $580+$50 = $630 (not bad as one is still saving $20 + the difference in tax)
