Pre-Order tomorrow morning at AT&T store

My local AT&T store said they are accepting pre-orders when they open in the morning. Has anyone had any experience with this? Would I still have to wait in an overnight line or will this guarantee my phone and I can show up around 8AM (and still wait in a very long line)?

I'd prefer to go pick up my phone and not have to stay up until 3AM this morning to order.

EDIT: NEVERMIND, just spoke to AT&T and was given misinformation, their pre-orders will simply be ordering the phone to be shipped to you. Looks like the only way to buy locally is to wait in line.

Okay, so are you going to wait until 8 or 9am to go to the ATT store to pre order. Why not do it online at 8 or 9am?

By the way, some had posted they did not do pre-orders at the store in the past. I do not know that for sure.
