Pre-Order with Credit or Debit card? -- VZW

I used my credit card. I'm wondering if I would have used my bank card (debit) if it would have gone through faster?


Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Hasn't even been a full 24 hours. I just want my iPhone 4!

You should never use a debit card. It deducts the money directly from your account. Then you have no recourse if there is a problem. It doesn't speed up the purchase either.

Wrong. If you use Debit card with your PIN number you have no recourse. If you use your debit card as a Visa then you still get Visa's protection.

I used my debit card for my order simply because I don't and will never have a credit card. If I can't pay for it outright I don't need it. (Cars and houses excluded, of course!)
It's still showing as a pending transaction on my bank account, but VZW sent the "shipped" email with a tracking number so I'd say it's a done deal.
