iPhone 11 Pro Pre-ordered the Pro Max. Is 300 euros worth it for a 2x camera?

Hello, how are you?
So I just pre-ordered a silver 64gb 11 Pro Max.
But now that I see the values on my screen, I am getting buyers remorse.
The only feature the 11 Pro Max has over the 11 that I am interested in and want is the 2x Camera.
I have na 8 plus and use it as my main camera.
About 80% of the pictures I take are of people and as such I use the 2x Camera a lot as it gives a far better and more flattering perspective.
To get a similar framing with the standard camera I have to get really close to the subject and the wide angle distortion on the facial features is a big no.
But still, the price difference is 300 euros more!
With this in mind, do you think the 11 Pro Max is worth it?

If the 2x is really the only thing you care why don’t u stick with your 8+?
Or maybe buy a xs max with some discounts soon for similar price to the 11

It's the only thing I care between the 11 and 11 pro.
From my 8plus I care about the new camera sensor, tech, new a13 soc and all that good stuff.

For most, the real value is definitely in the ultra wide lens, which the basic 11 has. For you in particular the telephoto probably has more value than it would to most (3x zoom would have been nice though). Over the XS Max, the telephoto is improved with a wider f2.0 aperture (one big downside previously as this really affected low light performance). Other than that the display being an @3x retina at higher pixel density is also a nice to have, and that's pretty well where the major benefits seem to end...

I would get the 11 Pro and not the Max. That would be less expensive and give me a smaller phone which I prefer. This would give you the same camera and a phone that is a bit more pocketable. Just an idea...
