Hi guys,

I'm going to pre-order the iPhone 4, but my mother is going to use her credit card to do it, just so it is insured. I want to know if I can then go in and pick it up from my local Apple Store on the 24th, if the pre-order is in her name?
I live in the U.K.

Regards,

Mikeh

I am not sure about the laws in the UK, but almost every place in the United States will need her there if you want to use her credit card. I am not sure if you pay before though, but I would not think so because I am sure that some people do not show up.

I would think she would have to pick it up unless you can pay for it using her card online, but your pick-up name. Or else they would be handing a phone to the "wrong" person, and that is just bad business.

what is wrong with your credit card?

the person whose name appears on the card is the one who has to pick up the phone i believe.

I only have a debit card, doesn't have insurance to cover the £500+.

I might go in to the Apple Store if I can find time and ask them as well.
