Pre-ordering & switching carriers

Hi,

I’m planning on hopefully pre-ordering the iPhone 15 when it comes out but I’m also planning on switching cell phone carriers at the same time as well (most likely switching to Verizon) My question is would it be possible to pay monthly using the Apple Card installments if I won’t have the new cell phone service/plan up and running until after I upgrade?
