After spending hours refreshing with the rest of the geeks, I finally just got thru on apple.com BUT it took me to a reservations page. Weird. Put in my local info and it said I could pick up my phone on the 24th any time after 7am and would be charged then. My reservation was only good for day 1. Called the apple store and they said it was probably because AT&T servers are down for 60-90 minutes. Anyone else get this?

iPhone 4 32GB : Black

Based on certain conditions (not sure what they all are) some people are forced to come into the store to pick up their phones.

I know one condition is if you are adding a line.

This was my issue too... I've got a 32gb iPhone 4 reserved at the price of $699 at the Apple Store in Austin... I better be able to get my full discount that I expect as a 3g customer from 2008!:mad:@ AT&T

Genius just called me back (nice to do that) and said that it is kicking people to a reserve in store page if the servers are not able to determine eligibility. Their answer to AT&T servers being down. I suspect nobody is going to be able to pre-purchase until the servers come back up.

FYI, I am an AT&T legacy customer, always got iPhones on launch day so it's not an upgrade issue.

I am not trying to be mean, but when they call you back next time, can you ask them why I can not even get to he page to reserve? I would like to hear their explanation on that one since that is what they told you people can do.

i reserved one at green hills too. what time do you plan to go there on the 24th?

Reserved mine at Green Hills as well. Was told mall opens at 5am and store of course at 7am. Me and my son are thinking about camping out just for the fun and to document the madness.
