Is it worth having a pre-paid iPhone? Is it even possible? How do I go about getting a prepaid iPhone?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks for your help.

1. Buy the iPhone.
2. When activating in iTunes, use 999-99-9999 as your social.
3. You are then presented with Pay-as-you-go options.
4. Google could have answered this question in 2 seconds.

Who knows? No. And you can't.
No problem.

Yes, it is possible. Don't be smarmy if you don't know what you are talking about. It's a pretty crappy deal, though.

The 999-99-9999 or 111-11-1111 SSNs don't work anymore, apparently. Though, there are SSNs that do work still, supposedly.

To the OP, basically if you fail the credit check you can get pre-paid plans. They all kind of suck, though, and you can Google "pre-paid iPhone" to see them.

My logic is that if you're going to pay $400 for a phone, you should probabyl be willing to commit to using it for a couple years. If you don't want to do that, you might be better off with an iPod touch.
