So I was in a hurry and I guess my LowePro backpack wasn't zipped up all the way, and when i went to get into my bag while walking, my MBP went flying out and tumbled from about 3-4 feet onto some rough tarmac. At first I was like OMG.
Upon inspection (this happened Saturday AM) and searching the internet, the upper case is only $40 from ifixit, which is all that really is damaged. I needed a new one anyways, as mine came with a free dent from the factory, which Apple knows about as I told them when I first got it.
Anyways, here is a pic. I am surprised at how durable it is. You look at a MBP and it looks kinda delicate. I can attest to the fact that atleast the "classics" are more durable than they look.
I have renters insurance as well as AC. I know I will need to replace the upper case before taking it into Apple for any future repairs. There is a little dent on the corner is where the HD is, as the logicboard is on the otherside, which as no damage.
