Preapproval over the phone?

Hi...

I'm been getting mixed signals from other pre-approval threads I've read. But my question is, can I get the pre-approval over the phone from AT&T instead of going down to an AT&T store?

And, can that code be used on Friday for pickup at an Apple Store, or just AT&T retail stores?

Also, can I activate an Exchange plan at the Apple Store, or is that AT&T store only?

I did mine over the phone, no code.
It just stays in their system for 90 days

Did they have any instructions about pickup on the 11th? Does this pre-activation speed up the pick-up?

Where do you plan to pick up your phone?

it speeds it up in that you don't have to do it the day of in store, I'll be lining up for mine at at&t
