Precision finding with Apple Watch 6, in spite of having iPhone XR?

Anyone know if I can use precision finding with my Watch 6 (non cellular) to find a tag in spite of only having an XR which of course doesn’t have a U1? Anyone else have this combination of devices? Thanks.

There's other threads already on people wishing the FindMy app on the Watch was more feature rich (that's what you're looking for). As there's Wideband support in the AW6, it's pretty likely it's coming in a future software update.

Why no Apple Watch love?

I wonder why the ”Items” isn’t part of Find My on the Watch, and if it will ever be added?
