So based on recent events with the iPad and rumors of both a larger premium iPhone and 4" cheaper iPhone I've decided to come up with what I believe will be the future iDevice lineup (even as early as this coming fall):
iPad mini (w/ retina)
16 GB - $329/$459
32 GB - $429/$559
64 GB - $529/$659
iPad "pro"
32 GB - $499/$629
64 GB - $599/$729
128GB - $699/$829
iPhone (cheap)
16 GB - $349/free
32 GB - $449/$99
iPhone (4")
16 GB - $649/$199
32 GB - $749/$299
64 GB - $849/$399
iPhone (5") (maybe higher storage - 32/64/128)
16 GB - $749/$299
32 GB - $849/$399
64 GB - $949/$499
The iPod lineup would see some disruption most likely with two scenarios being possible: either the iPod touch gets the axe in favor of the cheaper iPhone (depending on where they price it) or - given my pricing above, they up the storage in the touch (64gb and 128 gb?) and keep the price points giving the touch something to offer - which would pretty much confirm the death of the iPod classic (for those of us holding out hope it would somehow be reborn).
Each line would be updated once a year with existing inventory of older models being sold at a discount but not produced or stocked (unlike now where the previous two models continue to sell as the cheaper alternatives).
What do ya'll think?
