Since the news was (pretty much) confirmed today that there will be an iPhone event on September 10, here are my predictions:


Aug. 19-26: Another iOS 7 Beta, with the icons changed to look different

Sept. 10: iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C (or whatever it'll be called) will be revealed

Sept. 17: iOS 7 public release

Sept. 20: iPhone 5S/5C (or whatever it'll be called) launch day

Aug 19: iOS 7 beta 6, no icons changed, minor bug fixes. Pretty much GM quality.

Sep 10: iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C announced. iOS 7 GM seeded to devs.

Sep 13: iPhone 5S and 5C being accepted for pre-order.

Sep 18-19: iOS 7 released to public.

Sep 20: iPhone 5S and 5C released.

That would be nice! Can't wait for iOS 7! And I really hope they don't change the icons, they are beautiful right now. In fact I like iOS 7 so much that I have an iOS 7 theme on my jailbroken iPod touch 5 and I will be losing that jailbreak to get iOS 7.

Where's the iPad 5 in all that. All rumours predicted a september release and it's already in production.

Where's the iPad 5 in all that. All rumours predicted a september release and it's already in production.

I'm still wondering if it'll be with the iPhone(s) or if it'll be announced with the new Macs later in the year. The sooner, the better!

I think rumors point to an October release, which isnt uncommon as Apple holds an event in October also

While the 4S was supposedly a nod to Siri, I think the 5S will be touting the new fingerprint sensor (5S)
Naturally the 5C would be for colour.

4S = Siri
5C = Colour
5S = Sensor (fingerprint)
6 = 4.6" display (2014)

Just don't think that after 5 betas it's been unchanged it would suddenly change in the 6th.
