Predictive emoji not working in iOS 16.1.1

I tried toggling the predictive setting, emoji keyboard, even reset the dictionary, and of course restarted my iPhone - all to no avail. The emoji are not being predicted (for example typing “lol” should predict a few related emoji)

Anyone else having this issue?
