I am wondering whether a service call is necessary or whether others have had a similar experience.
12" G4 running Panther (so perhaps this message belongs in the Panther thread since I did not have this problem w/ Jaguar).
When I shut the machine down (discussions on sleep v. shutdown notwitstanding), I turn the machine on the next day, and the battery indicator suggests that I have lost up to 50% of the charge on the battery. It is like the machine is on even when it is off.
I have powersaver features on e.g. stop disk whenever possible, etc. I have the Internet Connections turned off (I heard a rumor that the Mac might continue searching for a network)
Thoughts?
