I think Apple may have pulled the iOS 16 update? I got my iPhone to do the update as it was downloaded and installed… i had the iPad Pro set to go and in waiting and when i looked it had not applied the update and when i requested it check for updates is kicked back an update of 15.7 waiting to be installed… i did the install now and it says device is up to date and 16 is not showing as being available… so at least IPad OS 16 is a non starter even though it was there to be downloaded earlier?

I ran all day with iOS 16 on my iPhone 13 mini and it seemed fine but the battery use was a little bit bad… used solid from 5am to 3pm and only had 15% left before i could get it to a charge… moved into low power mode at 20% and that was at 2pm… so depleted 80% battery in 9hrs? That’s a it much even under heavy use…?

I can’t tell if 16 is available still for sure, but i have anicdotal reports of only v. 15.7 showing up for 1 other iPhone 13 Pro and 1 iPhone SE 3rd Gen

Whats everyone else seeing?

iPadOS 16 has been delayed until next month(?) and wasn't expected (recently, at least) to be co-released with iOS 16. Battery use won't settle down for ~ 24 hours after the install. Most people things it's worth a power-off, restart at that point (24h after install). And even if it's useless, it's harmless...

I didn’t know about the iPad OS 16 and 15.7 was showing as the only thing available on those other iPhone devices… it now shows 16 being available… so there is seemingly no skipping past 15.7 to get directly to v. 16

Thanks for the reboot advice - will do that ASAP and check to see if things stabilize…

Sheesh. This is 4 paragraphs of almost solid incorrect information.

Is this a purposeful troll or do you have the correct info to contradict what i or others have written? Be productive and contribute or don’t...

As far as my experience is concerned - i went straight to iOS 16 - others i know and trust are having to install 15.7 first and then iOS 16 will show up and they can then go to v. 16 - as far as iPad OS 16 is concerned and my experience… its not showing up, but did yesterday evening and allowed me to select it for install. Which i did - but when i looked this morning it had reverted and i had to go back into software update and the only thing showing was v. 15.7 which installed without issues. If you doubt that is correct info you are saying my individual experience is being fabricated. What do i have to gain by doing that And reporting it in a Apple advocate forum?
