My question is does FCP render faster than FCE on an 8 core Mac Pro? I have noticed my FCE rendering times didn't improve much at all going from a MacBook Pro (unibody) with 4GB ram to a Mac Pro with 10GB ram. However, when I tried out the demo of Premiere CS4 it rocked the processing power of the Mac Pro and rendered in no time at all.
Does FCP do a better job of utilizing all the CPUs in the Mac Pro (like Premiere CS4) than FCE? I want faster renders as I much prefer the Final Cut software to CS4. Thanks!
