Has anyone ever preordered an iPhone by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE? It seems like it would eliminate the hassle of constantly refreshing the website.
 
I'm sure if telephone orders were/are possible then they would suffer from the same bottlenecks as Online orders. Either way - loads of people will want to buy an iPhone 5 and there will not be enought server capacity / people to pick up the phone to take these orders.
