I tried to preorder my 4S today. got to the final step. clicked the complete order button. then i got an error message. lovely.
I figured it didnt accept my order, so i tried again in a few hours. Well now it says i'm not eligible for an upgrade until 2013!
I went to check to see if i was charged for it, and sure enough i had a charge for $211 to apple.com on my account.
checked my email again, no sign that i put in an order.
I called apple. they can't find squat! He said call back later tonight, and hopefully we can figure something out.
What a cluster F!!
