Preorder issue with iUP

im after some help please.....I’m not currently in the iUP, is it easy to join at the time of preorder, or will it take ages and basically mean I miss out on a launch iPhone, we all know every second counts at preorder time!
Anyone signed up to it at preorder time?

Thanks, I’ve been in the iUP section of the app and it won’t let me select the phone, not even the 8 which preorders Friday !

I've been looking into this as well since I upgrade yearly anyways. I originally had decided against upgrading but I'm slowly considering changing my mind. At any rate I can't find any way to sign up or be pre-approved because like you said both phone options are grayed out now. Anyone know a way around this?

I believe the pre-approval is for current customers who are already on iUP and is eligible. Not for new customers.

So if I'm new to the iUP I may need to wait till launch day to do all the sign up? I don't know how well that will work with all the traffic. I'd hate to miss launch delivery because of sign up.

It sounds like it is for those who are currently on iUP. I could be mistaken. Maybe call Apple or chat with Apple and see what they say?

That’s a bit ridiculous, it will need to do all sorts of credit checks etc as it’s a credit agreement, that could make the difference of 4 weeks shipment

Usually credit checks take a few seconds.
