Preorder time

I'm going to preorder the iPad on Friday. I live in Chicago do preorders start midnight for Chicago or midnight pacific. If it starts pacific time will they still be available by early morning.

Thanks. I wake up around 6:40 central from past experiences I've been fine doing it the next day but the mini is lower cost so I'm not sure.
