I had to opt for in-store pickup on my phone. Normally I have it delivered, but can't this time. Will I be required to have the phone activated in-store or can I just pick up the phone and do it when I get home?

I know activation is required if you buy the phone at the store, just unsure how store pickup works -- if maybe my phone is sent to the store already activated as-if it was delivered to my house or if the store associate just picks up a random phone out of a pile and activates in-store.

I have the exact same questions. Subscribing to this thread so I can find out the answers too.

1. Does anyone know if we're replacing an existing iPhone on our Verizon 2 year contract by paying full price and we did store pickup, when we pick it up in store, do we have to actually activate the iPhone 6+ in store, or can we wait to activate it when we get home?

2. Also, would we need to switch SIM cards, or how does this work?
