I'll be overseas on Friday but will be home in the US before the 24th.

Does anyone know if there will be any issue pre-ordering from the US Apple Store website from a computer in the UK and paying with a US credit card for in-store pickup from a US Apple Store?

No there shouldn't be. You can access any country/region store from anywhere in the world. You just have to make sure the country it's being shipped to is the same one where you have your Apple online store account. When you access the store in the UK you may need to scroll down to the bottom of the main page where it shows a round icon with country flag and click that to change the country location to the US.

Do we know if we can provide a separate pick up name to the purchaser? Apologies if this has been asked.
