Preordering iPhone 4s

I am very excited to be getting the new iPhone 4s and I am looking to preorder early tomorrow morning. This is the first time I have preordered so I am not quite sure what to expect tomorrow and I what to be prepared to check out quickly so I can get my hands on the new phone asap. If someone could kindly explain the online preorder process, that would be great so I can be prepared tomorrow. I currently have a family plan with Verizon and looking to add a new line with this phone if it helps. Does it matter whether I preorder from Verizon or Apple? What information do I need/do I pay the price of the phone at the preorder? Most importantly when can I expect the phone to arrive?
