If I wait till the 11th to preorder (instead of the 7th), will it be sold out / delayed significantly? Can anyone who did something similar last year comment?

what do you mean getting cancelled..as in you preordered online and then apple just ignored your purchase?

Anyway, the purpose is to find out the features of the new google OS at their press conference on the 11th before making a decision.

Not cancelled, but delayed significantly. Some were cancelled because they couldn't meet the launch date delivery.

If you wait until the 11th your preorder will easily come one month or more late.

Best bet is to line up at Apple on the 14th if you plan on waiting for the Samsung event.

I thought about waiting to see the Nexus Prime but then I realized it's still Android and that's what I'm trying to get away from. Maybe once they fix the nonstop crashing/lagging I'll consider going back.
