Preordering new iphone

When I pre order my new iPhone will the credit card I use have too be in my dads name( account holder) or am I able to use my moms credit card? If you pre order for in store pick up will I still need a credit card while pre ordering?

Generally as long as the shipping address matches the billing address you will be ok. Who are you planning to pre order from? It may be best to double check with them.

Either apple or Verizon. I'll probably call them after the event too ask. I doubt they do this but do you know if apple has ever had where you can walk in an pre order?

Simple answer is; No one knows. The App Store didn't exist when the iPhone4 came out.

Folks need to read a little closer... Apple Store App <> Apple App Store

The current Apple Store app shows the ability to order an iphone4. Whether you can use it for preorder or not remains to be seen.

Since the iPhone 4 wasn't out yet, could they have made the apple store app too help with pre orders possibly?

There have been at least a half dozen threads on this same topic.

1. You can order at the Apple web site. (a much simpler way to describe it than Apple store app)
2. You can order at the carrier web site (not carrier store app).
3. No one knows if either Apple or the carrier will allow pre-ordering.
4. There's still plenty of time to start more threads asking questions that will all be answered at 1:00 pm Eastern

Respectfully, they're different things, so it's not really a simpler way to describe either.

The Apple Store app was released the same day as iphone4 preorders went up, and you could use it to pre-order an iphone4 -- not that there weren't a bunch of problems.
