Hi all,

So I plan on selling my MBP 13" mid 2009 and want to know how I can set it up so that when the new user starts the Mac they get that cool intro with it saying Hello in different languages on the screen and that Paul McCartney Wonka Land style song. I already wrote zeros to the hard drive and am going to install from the CD but what do I do to ensure that the start up video begins as soon as the MBP is turned on?

Thanks!

also any other things I need to do before I give my MBP away?

Once the install gets to the point that it reboots and starts playing the "cool intro" just press and hold the power button and turn it off. When you turn it on it'll pick up at the intro.

I forget if it tells you to remove the disk but don't forget to do that.

can i eject the disc after it says its going to reboot?

It may tell you to remove the disk prior to the final reboot but I can't remember for sure.

After it reboots to the intro you can eject it then before powering down.

I just did this on a MBP I'm selling and after restarting it picks right back up at the intro (I restarted to test it).

great! thanks a lot! appreciate it

Or you can command+q after it plays the intro instead of powering it off. It'll just play it again when it's restarted. And, yes, you can eject the disc.
